Since I have so much hay on the floor from the goats I put it in between the rows. That way the garden gets fertilized when it rains and the weeds are alot less.

At first I thought that I'd get more weeds from the hay tops, but the goats eat almost all of them, so no seeds from the hay. In the fall most of the hay has disintegrated so just till it under.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10272909221294270344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-362469945181286987.post-43366717912824580692009-10-22T17:47:16.388-05:002009-10-22T17:47:16.388-05:00Wow, that's a lot of soap! I'm taking a portion of the pasture that the horses don't seem to use and plan to run some hotwire across that area so they can't get in it. I'm going to have to terrace the garden as everything is on a steep, steep hill here. And we're planning a separate orchard. Don't know if we'll get that in this next year or not though.

I can't wait until you get your soap site up!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-362469945181286987.post-4426193434835611632009-10-22T12:28:06.663-05:002009-10-22T12:28:06.663-05:00Hummmm, Rose does have a point there!
