No longer a threat!

I'm glad to report that my dog no longer barks at this type of "cow"! She went from the "Just let me out of this truck and I will kill you" bark, to a doberman " I'm watching you" look. I don't mind the barking as I'm a little hard of hearing after working around airplanes for so long, but whenever anybody was in the truck with me and Abby would bark, they would act like a bomb went off behind them! They would be all jumpy and get cranky at my dog (Patty!) Now Abby just looks at the cows and will lay back down on her seat. She's such a good dog!
Update on Mom and Dad.
They called my up this morning from Dodge City.
It was a long drive yesterday, I think Dad said that they did over 800 miles! They didn't want to do that many but they were unable to find a place to stay as it was the opening for deer season in Kansas. They stopped in a few places and a Best Western called ahead and found the nearest room in Dodge City. They will be back home in AZ by Wednesday, in the late afternoon. Dad hopes!

  1. I'm curious if you let Abby ride in truck with you with Dad? I bet if Abby went off on her barking with him, he'd get cranky too. I still love your stupid dog.

  2. Whenever I've seen Abby, she never barks. I can't even imagine what her "I will kill you" bark would sounds like. I'm sure Abby is just getting use to those Wisconsin cows!

  3. Hee, hee, I love it! Wisconsin cow bales, pretty funny. I hope I get to see Abby sometime. Ginger doesn't hardly ever bark. She does deeply growl once in a while though. And when she does, she sounds like a dog twice her size. When she was younger she used to growl at her reflection in the door- it has a full length window.
