Spring?

I know that up in Alaska they are having some of the worst weather they have had in year, but here in Wisconsin? It feels like spring. Yesterday it got up to 43 (Temp at the bank sign) and when I got of work the temp was 39. Can you believe that? 39 above on Jan 29 at 5.15pm?

I just wish the sun would shine a little bit. It's been gray. I know, stop my complaining as we have it pretty good.

Maggie, the fluffy dog, has an ear infection, we are having to clean her ear out and then put some "stuff" in it. She does not like that part of it. It must bubble and tickle her as she shakes her head to get it out. But we rub it in good and deep so the meds stay put.

Hiding!

I thinned the zucchini plants the other day as they aren't putting out new fruit. Now I see why! Two of these big boys were on one plant. They were on the back side of the plant that's hard for me to get to and also under some big leafs. I measured them. Over 18 in for all three! The big ones will go feed the chickens.

Here's Maggie. TJ is working out of town and is home on the weekends. Maggie misses him. I mean, I do in a pinch, but it TJ that she wants.

Meet Maggie

This is Maggie, she is my friend's dog. I will be watching Maggie while he goes out on the road for work. He's a trucker and he may not be able to take her with him when he's gone for several days. I had her for one night a few days ago and I will have her again tonight. Maggie has always been with him (24/7/365) so she probably wouldn't do well in a kennel.

The night I had her she did okay, but she had nervous panting all evening long but then when night came she settled down. In the morning she was calm, and did much better. She is a sweet heart of a puppy. Well, she's not a puppy anymore. She is nine years old.

I was telling him that watching Maggie is having the best deal. I get all the benefits of dog but without the food bill and vet bill. I think it's a sweet deal!
