Today was a good day. My friend (she's also my boss, the Dream Crusher) invited me to come to her house for a fun filled day of ice fishing. If you have never been ice fishing then you know may not know that it's not a heart pumping adrenalin filled sport! But it's still a lot of fun.
My friend and her husband live on a lake and on the lake they have a fire pit set up with chairs around it. The ideal is that you drill some holes, put out your line and sit around the fire and wait for the flag to pop up to let you know that there's a fish on! While we waited we had the ever loving Wisconsin favorite food. BRATS! And you know what? They were good! Must be that we grilled them over a open fire and also toasted the buns.It was slow fishing. 6 holes were drilled and only 2 times did the flags pop up. When we went to check them there was no fish! Bummer. Still,it was nice to be out sitting around the fire and laughing and just having a good time. And another good thing? I smell like wood smoke! Love that smell. Do you?
I love the smell of woodsmoke. That sounds like a lot of fun, and who would not love brats over an open fire. Sounds like the perfect day.
