No Mom! Not that type of a hangover! It's not alcohol induced!
I read a lot. But for the past month or so I have not been reading at my normal level. I was being a slacker! This weekend I made up for it and when I got home from work on Friday I opened up and read " The Story of Edgar Sawtelle" by David Wroblewski (566 pages) and then I read "eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer (625 pages) All day today I have had a low grade headache and I even took a 1 hour nap but I still have the headache. ( I even pulled one of my Dad's trick and nodded off in Church!) I have always heard that you need "the hair of the dog that bit you" so I started reading " Clean Cut" by Lynda LaPlante. I'm half way through that. Mom, you can read the Edgar Sawtelle book, but you wont like the other ones. Not your type of book.
The Edgar Sawtelle book is a hot book right now. The waiting list for this book at the library is very high, I have been waiting for it for about a month now. I liked the book.................but there were things that I just didn't get. I have some big WHY questions. I don't like it when I finish a book and I have unanswered questions and this book left me with a few.
The other book "eclipse" is book 3 of 4. It was good. Not great. It is a book for young adults, kind of like the Harry Potter series was for young adults but it crossed over into the adult reading. I had no question when I finished that book. I'm now on the waiting list for book 4 of this series. I hope that I get it in about a month.
What books are you reading right now? If anybody has read the Edgar Sawtelle book, let me know. I want to ask if you have the same question that I have!
excuse me?????Your letting the faithful readers know????been there done that and quite sure I will be again. Not that I am looking forward to it.....Just know that good intentions just do send you sometimes straight to hell will no collect 200$ no get out of jail free so on so forth. Somedays you just got to pay the price eeeeeeeesh! better you than me no sympathy bet you wish no fishy's for you
ReplyDeleteDid you perhaps mean "I have a hangnail" and then you were going to proceed with telling us a story about your hangnail...?
ReplyDeleteSorry Jenny and Alicia. I hit the post button too soon and didn't tell the whole story! You need to re-read it!
ReplyDeleteAltra-reading marathon!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't do alot of reading this weekend, because I decided to make a new skirt for myself, plus I'm mending some clothes too.
I guess I neede to read the first unedited post for any of this to make sense. I just finished reading "The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks. It was pretty good, but not life changing.
ReplyDeleteHad the Edward Sawtelle book in my possesion for a month and never could get past the first page. Not sure if story/author style was the problem but just not my cup o tea. and if you reread my comment you will see that it can relate to even OVERREADING....still no sympathy and maybe some glasses will help the headache next time am heading for FAI early to see Dr. If mom is reading this.... I think I got a gallbladder/liver problem in a big way been up all night and if there was an ER here I would already be there
ReplyDeleteWow! Sounds like fun. I love it when I have time to just read. I thought I was going to get a lot of reading done on our trip, but mostly we just listened to audio books, I guess thats sort of the same. Thanks for working for me today. I crashed and slept for four hours this afternoon. I was really pooped out and had a terrific migraine.
