Toying with my affections.

The state of Wisconsin is a mean bad boyfriend! I am so looking forward to summer with having my bigger garden and having chickens and goats that I feel like a 6 year girl waiting for Christmas! Yesterday was nice and today the weather was down right balmy with a good brisk breeze. It melted a lot of the snow in my yard today. I have lots and lots of brown grass showing. Then, as I was online that little weather crawler thing started to crawl. We are under a weather watch and a weather warning. My county is the warning. I think that that means that we have more of a chance of the predicted weather happening? (Not sure though ) I watched the news and we are (maybe) going to get up to 4 inches of snow. Bummer.

But on a whole different note. For dinner I had 2 chicken thighs baked in the oven with garlic, boiled Yukon gold potatoes with butter and dill ( I love me some dill ) and broccoli with cheese sauce.

Oh, and Mom and Dad called up today. Just to let me know that they were having fun without me on Padre Island TX. I really liked that place. If money was no problem I would like to have a place down there. I think though that the hurricane insurance would be very high!

  1. Wow, I should have come to your house for din din! I didn't feel like cooking tonight since I got home late, so it was a baked potato night.

    Tomorrows weather will be interesting.

  3. I sure hope the snow isn't too bad tommorrow. After work I have to drive to Men. and probably won't get home till 9:30.

I really wish spring would just come and stop teasing us.

Your supper sounds good. We had some perch the K. and Ky caught on Sun.

On Sunday I am going to talk to the elders. I don't know who they are at this time.

  6. Please send moisture our way!!! It's getting scary with the lack of snow/moisture we have gotten so far this winter. Lots of wind & too warm of temps for this time of year. Fire danger is soooo high. If things don't start happening, we are facing another drought.
Oh yah, Mary Helen/Finn are moving to Sargent, TX - a little ways inland from Galveston on a river?). Guess the guy they bought their place from had massive homeowners insurance that ran him $800/month!!

  7. We had a violent rainstorm earlier this week. I woke to snow this morning. And the last couple weeks have been sunny and beautiful. If Wisconsin is a bad boyfriend, Oregon is a tease!
