The Folks.

When I lived in Alaska I would fly south to visit mom and dad in AZ or TX for some little R&R. When they would take me to the airport to go back, dad would always sing this little song. It goes like this " Thank God and Greyhound you're gone" and he would just sing that verse over and over a few times. Well tomorrow I will be singing it to them! I will have a little twist to it. My song will go like this " Thank God and Dodge truck you're gone" I will be sad to see them go. I do enjoy having them here. But on the other hand.....There is no other hand. I will miss them......Wait there is another hand! I forgot. I will be able to turn the heat down! I will be able to use my computer when I want and I will be able to watch what I want to watch on T.V. ( Without having dad complain that there's nothing on, not that hes wrong, but I wont have to hear it.) And yes, my dad messed with the settings on my computer as he just knows that it will be better to have it set up like his. I just go with the flow.
This is a pic of Mom. She's cold. They are sleeping in the 5th wheel at night and then come into the house in the morning. I have the heat set at 65 and they crank it up to 72. By the time I go to work I am glad to go!

I have come to realize that I will always be the "kid" and I'm OK with that. Dads buys lunch when you're the kid. What can I say? I like lunch.

  3. Just think. In a few days I'll get to hear Dad tell me "Don't you think it's time for you to go home." He's so blunt, but I guess that's his charm...well, maybe not charm. That's just him.

  4. And there's your dad's phone calls that end... "I'm tired of talking to you now. Goodbye!" ...
