Well, it was a bright and early morning for me this morning. Also for my Dad. We watched the weather for my area and it was calling for the over night low to be at -0-. My Dad just didn't believe that it would get that cold. Well it did and at 2am my Dad woke up in the 5th wheel and was worried that their diesel truck would not start. He had the truck hooked up the the 5th wheel so that he could park it this morning.
So he gets up to start the truck and it wont start. He then gets out his generator and plans on getting that running and plugging the heater on the truck into that. Well it was too cold for the generator to start. It was -5 at my house. So I'm sleeping all snug and warm in my bed and at 3am I hear this horrible noise, it was a deep grumble. It was Dad starting the generator in the house after it warmed up. I woke up thinking that I have a major big time problem with my furnace so I get out of bed and there's Dad and the generator running in the house. We chat, I go back to bed with the smell of fumes in the house.
He got the truck started and let if run for the rest of the night. He said he can hardly wait to get to AK where it's warmer!
Mom was worried the road would be bad going to the twin cities so we left the house at 9.4oa. I got them to the airport at 11.20a and the roads were bone dry and not much traffic. They made their flt and are on their way back home to AK.
March 14 is Pi day! So I'm going to make a pi. But I'm going to let you chose what pi I will make. So take the poll on the right hand side and on Pi day (3.1415 = March 14, get it? ) I will make that pi.

Annie, Yep, I now have a 5th wheel and a big old truck on my land. I'm looking real country now. They will be back in the fall to head south.
