Cured, again

Over this past weekend I have been doing animal chores for my friend the Goat Lady. She has at this time, five lamas, four horses, two bucks, two pigs, 10 or so goats/sheep, 20 plus rabbits, a flock of mean nasty geese, and some guinea pigs. I know for a fact now, I will never ever have rabbits, geese, lamas and pigs (the pigs are pets) I can see that at some point in time I might have a pig to bring up and send off to freezer camp, but never ever will I have pigs as pets.

And that big bowl of eggs? That was three dozen eggs and one big goose egg. My hens are up to giving me about six to eight eggs a day. I gave the eggs away to some church people on Sunday.

  1. I have no desires for llamas, rabbits or geese either. Just ponies. And maybe a pig or two. And whatever the grandchildren want. I couldn't even think about eating that many eggs...gag.

  3. That's a lot of eggs! That many animals must keep her very busy, it's nice of you to help her out!

  4. If you do raise pigs, you really should raise two at a time. Individual pigs don't do well and won't eat.

  5. Farm animals are a lot of work no matter what kind they are.

  6. How big of a place does she have to have all those animals. Glad I don't have her feed bill!!
