Meet Maggie

This is Maggie, she is my friend's dog. I will be watching Maggie while he goes out on the road for work. He's a trucker and he may not be able to take her with him when he's gone for several days. I had her for one night a few days ago and I will have her again tonight. Maggie has always been with him (24/7/365) so she probably wouldn't do well in a kennel.

The night I had her she did okay, but she had nervous panting all evening long but then when night came she settled down. In the morning she was calm, and did much better. She is a sweet heart of a puppy. Well, she's not a puppy anymore. She is nine years old.

I was telling him that watching Maggie is having the best deal. I get all the benefits of dog but without the food bill and vet bill. I think it's a sweet deal!

  1. Maggie looks kind of sweet, but also kind of scruffy. That is a good deal, friendly dog but no bills.

  2. Aww...that's nice that you offered to keep Maggie for him. That is a great deal, you get to enjoy her company without all the responsibility that goes with being a pet owner.

    Like you cherry background.

  5. Awww, Maggie looks like a sweet puppy girl, however, I can see the saddness in her eyes that her papa is gone and she misses him. I'm so glad you are taking care of her...she's in good hands!

  6. We just took care of my co-workers black lab for a little over a week. he is 2 years old and a Nervous Nellie! You'd think he would get used to us by now and our routine!! in the past the longest we've taken care of him is about 3 days. It was nice to have his dad pick him up last night!!
Maggie looks like a nice, mellow dog! Does she sleep with you? :-)

  10. She is so cute - what kind of dog is she? Did I miss that? She'll get used to you, that is a long time spent with just her owner.

PS I voted for Shaker Citrus, it sounds interesting, never heard of it before.
