I'm not sure if you can tell, but all the above slices of soap are the EXACT same size! I used to cut my soap with a blade and ruler and with the hand held blade, sometimes my cuts would get all caddywhompus. But not now, I have a new fangled soap cutting machine!
I don't have a slab of soap to put in my new cutting machine so you may not be able to tell how it works but I lay a 12lbs slab of soap under the cutting wires and pull down and I get 12 even cuts. What used to take me up to about an half hour now takes me less then three minutes. Here's a back view of my new soap cutter. Just so you know, this is the only one out there like it. I have the prototype.
I asked my friend T.J. if he could build me something to cut soap. I told him that what I had in mind was something like a hard boiled egg slicer. But of course it would need to be bigger and stronger as soap is not the easiest stuff to cut. I need to get some C clamps to hold the back down as you have to put a lot for force to pull the wire blades through all that soap.
The writing on the left bar of the soap cutting machine is
