Fun day

Today I drove over to Minneapolis to visit my grandma and my Aunt Donna. Its about an hour and a half drive. And even though that wasn't the main fun part of the day, the drive added to the fun! When you live in Alaska you don't get to dive much, oh you can dive, but when you have lived there along time you go over and over and over the same roads. I don't know what it is, but the driving here in the states is just different, maybe the smells? the sound of crickets along the road? not sure what it is but its different. but back to the main part of the fun day, My Aunt is involved with the theater "stuff" and this whole week there are plays in abundance! So she took me to see a story teller, What a experience! The story tellers name is Charlie Bethel and the audience gets to pick the story of Gilgamesh or Beowulf, We choose Beowulf. I have tried to read the epic poem and failed at that ( you try and tell me how far you get till you stop!) and I saw the movies (ho hum) but this way of telling it was great! I could just imagine sitting in a meeting hall and a fire pit in the center and all the village people gather around to hear the story about their heroic ancestor from a long time ago (I'm kind of liking my Norwegian background, Mom, maybe that's why I don't mind books that have gore in them? just a thought!) and then I drove home. So a good day was had by all!
