Company's coming!

It's 3.30pm my time and my folks should be here in about 1 to 2 hours! I'm getting giddy with excitement! You would think, at my age, I wouldn't this way but this is the first time my folks have been to my new home here in Wisconsin. I'm hoping that they will stay till Thursday but we will see.
I have been up since 6am cleaning the house! I have even flipped the mattress that they will be using. I have washed all the towels and sheets, vacuumed the whole house with my stupid vacuum cleaner that wont even suck up lint! Scrubbed the tub and toilet. Mopped the bathroom, kitchen and dining room floors.
My Dad is worried that he's going to be board. I told him that I have a chain saw and that he could cut some brush for me, cut down some trees or I could have him dig some holes with a post hole digger for my future goats and chickens. He said that sounded like work! I said No, No, No! this would be a "and a good time was had by all" But he's not buying it! So I think that he will like checking out the Train Museum. My Dad has built a few steam engines in his day. So that will keep him entertained for a few hours! What else can we do? Oh, that's right, we are going to go to a cheese store! Can I plan a good time or what?!

  1. You could have him thoroughly check out your heating and A/C system too. Although, the chainsaw sounds like his kind of fun too. Maybe he could just cut stuff and you could move it later? He might be more inclined to do it.

  3. Your soap is on its way and say hi to Mom and D. for me please. Maybe when they come home to Alaska they will be driving this time????if so I would love for them to stop and visit me...I got some interesting things for D. to do too...like snowmachine riding and maybe some ice fishing and caribou hunting since I got a federal permit for by the canadian border. Last Caribou I saw was way to big for me to try to load it up myself and I'm now looking for a sheet of plywood and a come-a-long to improvise a winch....and don't be suprised if I show up. Like I told you on the phone I got a passport, gas money and a pretty good running truck...Never know I might just wake up and decide its time for a road trip
