Woo Hoo! I found THE tea! I was at Wal-Mart getting my Thanksgiving stuff and low and behold, I found the tea! I grabbed 2 boxes of it and when I got home, I found out that I grabbed one plain old peppermint tea not 2 of the kind that I wanted. Kind of like when you grab a container of sour cream and when you get home you find out that you grabbed the fat free kind. Yuck! That's OK though, next time when I'm in town I will grab another box.
I think that deer season opened today? When I left the house I saw a bunch of cars and trucks parked at the farm up the street and there was about 15 men in blaze orange with rifles. I also saw a lot of truck and cars pulled off the road onto trails and I stopped counting when I hit 30 people in blaze orange! You can see them a mile away! In a truck coming towards you. A lot of the banks had their signs flashing "Safe Hunting" and then the clincher was a dead deer bungee down on the trunk of a car! Never saw that before! Up in Alaska you see camo, not blaze orange.
Also the bars had a lot and I mean a lot more trucks and cars parked at them, for a Saturday afternoon. Not unusual for a Saturday night! I do believe Wisconsin likes it's beer!
A little Haiku for you.
Hunter,bright orange.
Run away! Watch out Bambi!
Pan fried? Roast? Yummy!
Oh and tomorrow for the Church potluck? I'm going to bring Perroc. That's Alaska style Russian fish pie. We will see how well that goes over! I may have left overs! I can only hope!
I do believe you are gifted in Haiku. It's not a talent just anybody has. You have a special knack.
ReplyDeleteHere's my try.
Shoppers. Too Many.
Scurry here, scurry there.
Too much money spent.
I just caught seeing you leaving Wal-Mart when I was in the check-out line but I didn't want to YELL your name! I'm so glad you found that tea you wanted.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that blaze orange a wonderful color? Not!!!!! I've seen dead deer strapped to cars/trucks in many interesting ways.
WELCOME TO WISCONSIN! I followed you here from your comment to Ree (don't you just LOVE her?). I'm in Madison, so my back yard doesn't quite look like yours, and there'll be no goats, but I love it here too (if you ever come down I can show you the State Historical Museum, which is lots of fun...er...educational.) {grin} About that tea? TAKE IT BACK! Show them the receipt and make an exchange. No trouble, no questions, nothing - you may not even need the receipt; I've done that for exactly the same problem, bought one wrong thing when wanting two of something. They made the exchange without question (take the "wrong" one to the counter first - they'll hold it then let you go get the replacement). I'm a fan of tea also - and winter. Give me a deep snowy day, a good book and a pot of tea. (And a cat on my lap) Does it get better? Not often!
