Christmas Eve

In my family we have always opened up gifts Christmas Eve, not in the wee hours on Christmas day. We lived in Alaska, close to the north pole and Santa would make our house early! So we lucked out!

I thought that I would be sad tonight as I am here by myself for Christmas Eve. But I'm not. It's OK.

The Church that I go to, for some reason did not have a Christmas Eve services. I went to a friends Church for services. I am going to have to go back and get some pictures of this Church. I'm sure that it's the oldest Church that I have ever been in. It was a very nice service and it's a young congregation, probably as they are near Stout University.

When I got home I opened my gifts that my sisters in AK sent me.
My sister (My womb mate ) made me 2 sets of salt and pepper shakers. She wraps wire around stone and makes it stick to the glass. The are very nice. I can't get the picture to look like what they really look like.
She also sent me a wind chime. I collect them. This one has a Alaska motif. It has a bear, moose, eagle, cabin and a pine tree. I love it! It will make a nice addition to my collection. ( Oh and a box of candy that I got into a few days ago!)

Then one of my older sisters ( She has a blog ) who is a writer and an artist, made this water color picture for me. It's the "Carina" which is the boat that we lived on for almost 3 years when I was younger.

So all in all I would say that I have had a nice Christmas Eve. I hope that you all out there are also enjoying the evening.

  1. Thanks for coming to my church service tonight. It was nice to have you and Becca there with me.

After we came home, I made refried bean nachos, and then we opened up gifts.

  7. Your salt and pepper shakers are really neat. The water color pakart did for you is stunning. You'll have to bring it in to work so we can see it close up.
