This morning, when I woke up at 6.30am, I went outside to check the temp. It was -13!
I feel chilled here at the house. Maybe because I have the thermostat set at 62. I did bump it up to 65, but I'm going to set it to 68!
That's why I posted this picture. It's a picture of an apple grove. I think it was about 75 or so. But the good thing is, I know that winter here in Wisconsin wont last as long as winter up in Alaska! Spring really is spring here! A few years ago, I was here in April and it was 80! I know that was not normal but still! 80 above in April?! I can dream.
Being that its been cold, I looked at my truck and I can't find a block heater. So I'm going to bring it in on Tuesday and get one put in. I'm not sure how this truck will do in the winter as this will be my first winter with it. So far so good, but if we have a few days of really cold weather? I'm not sure if she will start!
Don't worry, December and January are our coldest months and then February usually warms up some. Our winters go fast. Does that make you feel a little better?
ReplyDelete-13? Wow, that is cold. We haven't gotten that bad yet. we just have lots of snow, but I like it.
ReplyDeleteTainterturtles said it right. We do usually have short winters. March on the average comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Sometimes we plug our vehicles in in the winter, but last year I dont' think we did at all.
ReplyDeleteHope this makes you feel warmer -45 at my house this fine morning. And the moon has the yard light up beautiful at 0715. I am staying in today I don't care whats happening. And the woodstove is crackling and I'm thinking that instead of buying a present for Emily I'll make her a quilt today since she isn't 18 yet......
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too..42degrees. I did laundry and hung out clothes on the line...my fingers were cold!
