Slow day.

I have been sick for the past few days and today I was feeling better, I thought. I got up and out of bed at 7am and did the dishes (I hardly ever leave dirty dishes in the sink but I was so tired last night) then I sat on the couch for a bit and watched TV. I then went to the bedroom to get ready for Church, sat on the edge of the bed, looked at my big toes as I still have nail polish on them from this summer. And I ended up taking a 2 hour nap! Got up at 11.45a and was tired of being in the house. I went north to a town called Rice Lake, wasn't sure that I had been there yet. I was driving around and didn't recognize much till I passed the Dairy Queen! I have been to Rice Lake! What does that say about me? That I would recognize a DQ? So that was my big day.
Abby is trying to look out the window without really having to get up!

  1. Wow, read my post. I drove right past Rice Lake today headed towards Haugen to pick up Ted's stranded grandchildren. Rice Lake is a nice town, probably the size of Menomonie!

I'm sorry you were feeling sick...hope it's just a passing thing. It's back to work tomorrow...ugh!

On the 23rd I lost Denali. She was hell bent on getting to a loose dog accross Ingra St. My fault as I did not have her on a leash in the yard. She had been so good about listening and responding and she just didn't this time. The poor guy who hit her was so upset. To all who read your blog.. train your dog to always respond and until you can TRUST they will always use a leash even in your own yard. Jeff has built a box so the critters don't scatter and get into it so I can bury her in his Pet Cemetary? in the spring. He really liked my dog and has been there for me as I have not been taking this setback well. Am trying to find all the good reasons why I don't have a dog again.... -51 today and don't have to take her out is a plus not a big one but a plus
