Wish I had one.

But not right now!
I no longer like having cats inside the house due to the litter box and my dog thinking that that's a "snack box!" Come summer time, when I have the goat pen/shed all set up and a place for cats, I will get some barn cats from my friend Kellie. (Kellie is the best best friend ever! I lost my purse last night at work. Kellie found it in the dumpster! She dumpster dived for me! I tossed it out with the library garbage!) but back to the cats. When Mom and Dad and I went to the cheese store there were some cats hanging out. This cat was all curled up doing some hard napping! (I'm thinking about that bad cheese I tasted! I just gaged!) It didn't wake up while I was playing "Patty the photographer" but when my Dad came out of the store and asked a question (Dad talks loud!) the cat woke up. What pretty eyes she has! (It might be a boy cat, I didn't check it out) she kind of growled at me. Maybe a cranky cat? Or maybe a loud purr? Yep, that's what it was, a loud purr!

  1. Kellie really is your best friend. Anyone that crawls into an icky dumpster is a true friend.

I like that kitty cat...the markings are really pretty. I really think you should get a few cats when the goats arrive!!!

  3. I have been informed that we are only having a few female spayed barn cats when I get my farm. I asked him about what happens if other unneutered cats show up and he told me that he would "take care" of them. So I shut my eyes and ears and pretended I didn't hear that part. Although I know that farm people "take care" of stuff all the time.

  4. I used to have cats growing up on a farm. Sometimes people would just drop them off, thinking a farm family would take in a lost cat. I have some great memories of farm cats. My most favorite cat was called Linksy. I was about 5 and the cat and I were true pals. Really, she would have had to love me in order to tolerate all of the indecencies I put her through: tail pulling, baby doll dress up and the old kid carry method of half choking the animal. Currently I would love to have a cat but I am married to a man who can't stand cats. Maybe some day. We usually soften as we get older.
