So, the other day, while I was sitting on the edge of my bed putting on my socks and looking at the huge selection of shirts to wear. ( I crack myself up! I only have 5 shirts that I wear to work!) Should it be the blue one? Or that blue one? Or maybe that dark purple or the lighter purple one? Oh, maybe the green one? I knew that I had to bite the bullet and go out into shopping hell! I made the plan that on Wednesday I would go out and get a minimum of 2 shirts. To get me there I promised myself that I would have a nice lunch. ( That was the Noodle Wrap place ) afterwards. I went to the first store and the sales lady came up to me and asked if I needed help. I told her that I hate to shop, I like to wear cotton if at all possible, I don't like loose flouncy sleeves, and I needed something other then dark blue and dark purple, I needed something a little brighter. She went and got me about 8 shirts to try on, I tried them all on, I picked out 3 and just that simple I was done! I was in and out in about 20 minutes!

you shop like a man. Which can be a good thing. Although you get cranky, I'd rather shop with you then another sister who has to try on everything, try some of the same ones on again, and then has to go to several stores to see if the other store has what she wants. It's excruciating. I'm somewhere in the middle.
ReplyDeleteShopping is not my favorite thing to do any longer. Since I am petite (4 ft. 11 in.)it's hard to find clothes so I can go from store to store and not find anything. I either find clothes that are too frumpy, or clothes that are too teenie bopper!
ReplyDeleteMy idea of a good time shopping is the parts store or the homedepot/lowes type of store. If I go to get clothes its Sally's or Value Village or Bishops Attic. I will not go into a mall....way to much humanity with really weird vibes. I just don't like people I don't already know anymore....sorry strangers if your in a very packed with humans place I won't be there......and shopping for a bra is the worst.....why I pretty much just quit wearing them
ReplyDeleteSometimes asking the sales person can really be a big help and a saver on time.
ReplyDeleteI have only about 2 or three stores that I buy my clothes at (Lane Bryant being one). I am not a person who likes to browse around from store to store for clothes.
Bras can be tricky. I found a brand I like and I only buy those kinds. Once I find something I like I ususally stick with it.
Good luck shopping!
hmmmm....I wonder if I am the sister you are referring to Patty...
ReplyDeleteKrissy...three words (or letters. whatever) for you. ..Q..V..C..In their Denim and Co. section they have lots of cute things!
Just be glad you don't have a teenage girl who likes to shop!!!! The western/tack stores are fine to go with her (except she wants everything) but hate hate hate clothes/shoe shopping with her. As "punisment" to her I make her go to the fabric or craft stores with me!!!! ha ha We both do love to go to Barnes & Noble, tho.
