When we were little kids, my sister Patty, while playing with us, would draw us cartoon cats and tell us a story. I was always impressed that she could draw a ball and I could only draw a circle! She has always been drawing. It was also kind of a bummer is some ways. You know how in school your teacher has you draw a card for your Mom on Mothers Day? Well, her cards looked like art, while mine looked like a 7 year old did it ( well, then again I was 7! )
She also has written a kids book and did all the illustration for the book. And that book was publish and as of today, January 2nd, it's in the Colfax Public Library! It can now be checked out!
That's her book, The Song of the Raven. How cool is that?!
Oh that is very cool!
ReplyDeleteHow fun will that be when someone checks it out, too!
As a librarian, I was very impressed with the story and the illustrations. I couldn't believe that a bigger publisher hasn't wanted to publish the book in hardcover or library binding...it's really worth it. Good job Patty.
ReplyDeletegosh, now I'm blushing. I couldn't get any big publishers to even be interested so I went local. But I'm still happy with it. Thanks for putting it in the Colfax Public Library - now I can say there's a copy in WI!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Patty... You selling copies? I'd like to send one to the Washington grandbabies..
ReplyDeleteYes, as a matter of fact, I do sell them. They are $12 each, that includes me shipping them to wherever. I'll even sign them to someone if you like.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That is awesome!
