This morning when woke up I made a batch of sugar cookies. I just made the dough and put it in the fridge to rest. Then when I got home at 8.30pm tonight I rolled it out and cut out a bunch of hearts. I only have one rack in the oven so I can only do one pan at a time. But that's OK. You get better and even cooking when you only do one sheet at a time. Then I made a vanilla butter cream frosting and frosted the cookies. I had one break so I ate it. I did not break it on purpose! Honest!
It was real busy today at the library. Normally Thursdays are a slow day. We had about 50 patrons come in. A lot of people on the computers. I had to kick 3 people off the computers so that others could use them. I think a lot of them were doing taxes. One lady asked me some tax questions. I told her that I'm a librarian, not a CPA!
Also I had one patron tell her kid that is she didn't put her jacket on that I would not let her take the books that she selected home. How mean is that? Don't make me the disciplinarian! You're her Mom, you tell her to put it on or else!
Those cookies look so yummy and very pretty too. You will be the most popular employee today in the Municipal building!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAre those for work? They look yummy. I don't like it when parents do that either - I've heard people say if you don't do this or that, the police will get you. Just makes kids fear the police and is not right.
