This package was from my friends R. and B. It was 2 jars of salmon and one jar of smoked salmon. They make the best smoked salmon belly's ever. I have been to their house a few times and gorged on the smoked fish. It's edible heaven.
What a treat. I can hardly wait to dig in. In fact, on the jar of smoked salmon, I probably wont share it. I can be mean like that. So either I have to hide it until my Dad and Mom are gone or open it and eat it all up in a day or two. What to do, what to do?
My friend R. knows me so so well. She also sent me a bag of Lindor Dark Chocolate truffles. YUM!
And why did they not bring smoked salmon to my door I wonder. Oh yeah, maybe they don't know me. Did you say three feet INSIDE your door? So that's how it is in WI? The postperson can just step inside your house? I find that rather strange.
ReplyDeleteI never heard of smoked salmon in a jar. How did they send it without it freezing?
ReplyDeleteHummm, should you share? Yes, especially when it comes to your mom & dad...hey, their family ya know!
Do they pack it with bones like regular canned salmon?
ReplyDeleteMy guys really like smoked fish. Smoked trout is my favorite.
Nope.. don't need to share it and you should tell them, especially your dad, all about not sharing it !! FLAUNT IT !! That should result in some interesting conversation ! :o) ... and lots of laughs and giggles... we have the mostest and bestest giggles with your parents ...
ReplyDeleteS.
Wish I could get a package from Alaska...
ReplyDeleteI left behind a couple things to have them mailed to be rather than travel over the Alcan in a reefer, potentially with a fish load. (Smelly!) It's been 2.5 years and they still haven't been shipped to me by my "friend". She mentions it from time to time, but still hasn't shipped.
Barring that, I'd love for one of my friends up there to either send down some Silverhook coffee or trinkets for the kids. Dude misses Alaska so very much!
So, you're a very, very lucky lady! I think I'm jealous!
