I'm back!

Even though I had a great and wonderful time with these people. ( They are my sister's in laws ) it's still great to be home.
On Christmas day, I got to meet 2 of my brother in law's brothers. They could have been triplets they look so much alike. They even answered questions the same way with the same drawn out "yep" My poor BIL, he married into a family of girls and when we get together he often is the only man there. We have girl talk. I listened to his brothers talk, they talk hunting and guns. Things that my BIL likes to talk about. Oh well, to bad, he married my sister so he's stuck with us girls. The house that they live in. The 1st part was built in the 1800's, the 2nd part in the 1900's and then they added on to it. The kitchen was in the 1st part. It was neat to see the original logs from that time. The kitchen has a wood cook stove. ( There was also a gas stove ) I sat next to that as old houses are drafty and (Thanks Lisa) I got a very bad head cold the day I drove down. I drank lots of hot tea. My BIL talks about what a good cook his mom is. I was bummed that I had this cold as I was not able to taste much till late on Christmas day.

The drive down and back from MO took about 12 hours both ways. I had to fight bad weather going and coming. On the was down I had rain mixed with some ice so I went slow. I did hit some ice a few times which makes you go slower. I saw lots of cars in the ditch. Maybe they didn't go slow? On the drive back I had some blizzard like conditions for the 1st part and them I had rain for a few hours so again it was slow driving. On the was back I saw about 100 cars in the ditch. I was surprised that so many cars past me and I was doing 60/65. Did they not see all the cars in the ditches?

  4. So who's who in the pic?? Love the farm house - did you get more pics - especially of inside. Was wood cook stove as big as Milt's & Cora's at Chernofsky Ranch?? Glad you make it to/from safely - we escaped most of the bad weather here - mostly just cold and maybe got 1/2 ft of dry snow and not much wind.
