Fun Day.

This is where I was at today. I was invited to the Montana's Children's Theater.
What they do is go around the country, having auditions in town. From the first audition they put on a live play in one week. M.C.T. brings the play, the set and the costumes for the kids.

A friend that I met at the library had 2 of her kids in the play. The play was King Arthur's Quest. There was a ghost haunting the castle, a cranky giant and a dragon with a sore tooth. King Arthur and his knight had to solve all the problems. What was really cute was that when the King and the Knights traveled off to solve the problems ( move off stage )and they were far far away in the distance, out would come the "mini's". You know, how people look smaller the farther away? That's what the "mini's" were for. It was also a way to give more kids a part in the play.

Her daughter is the tall one in green. She played one of the knights of the round table. She was green because she was concerned with the environment. One of her concerns was to recycle the swords. The little one in front of her was her "mini me"

This is her other daughter. She played a "Camelotian" which is a person who lives in Camelot.

They ran around a lot due to the dragon that had the sore tooth, the ghost that was haunting Camelot and the cranky giant.The giant was cranky because he had such big ears he heard all the noise and it would keep him awake.
I never did any of this type of stuff back when I was in school. It looked like a lot of fun. I know that it sure was fun to watch it.

P.S. I have all my homework done! Now I can kick back and watch a movie and read a book or 2.
