I made a double batch of brownies with peanut butter frosting for Psychology class tomorrow night. Brownies? You ask. Yep, brownies I say. Do not ask me what that has to do with the subject but every two weeks we have to bring in goodies or treat to share with our class mates.
It's worth 20 points, and for 20 point I will make some brownies.
I also have to show a video clip and a still picture that show Preceptual Constancy. I was assigned that one by the teacher. It is all very interesting how the mind works, but I still don't see why we have to bring in treats.
P.S. The frosting, good concept but not as good as I hoped for.

It used to drive me nuts that my kids received points for bringing in kleenex to share with the class. Shouldn't points be given for actual classwork and how well you did or didn't do?

ReplyDeleteAnd just what is the PHYSCOLOGY behind pavlov's dogs? Learning that good behaviour is rewarded. cheap trick by your professor I think they like goodies and don't have the ???? to make their own, so what better way than to make/dispense points so others will for them????? but then what do I know????

ReplyDeleteKrissy ....ummmmm... can you/we figure out a way that you could use Jenny's insights for class homework/discussion somehow comparing or noting the brownie exercise? There must be someway to use this to explain your "confusion" over the necessity to bring the brownies for the 20 points...

ReplyDeleteSounds like a good treat to me. It is kind of a weird (but nice) concept...bringing in treats for phyc class. What have you got in return?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is to create a bonding experience between the class mates and rewards those that participate. When you eat together you bond with the social interaction.
