Good Day.

I'm too tired to go out to the truck and get the camera so that I can download the pictures that I took of the Memorial Day Parade that took place in the town that I work in. My friend Kellie has two kids that were in the marching band. Both did a very good job of looking hot and tired! I jokes, they looked like they were having a good time.

The parade was small, took all of 10 minutes for them to march by. Even for a small parade I always get a little choked up when the veterans march by. Some can no longer march, they are on a flat bed with benches and get driven. (That is the WW2 vets) One car went by that had a Mother of a Gold Star inside. I didn't know for sure what it meant, when I came home I looked it up. The star is given to parents that have had a son or daughter die during active war. (Again, I learned something new)

After feeding the babies their midday bottle and after my noon nap ( This was NOT a satisfying nap!) I went to Kellie's place and sat by the edge of the pool with Kellie and cooled our feet while her hubby fixed some really good burgers and brats. I always have a good time there. I was thinking to myself that I'm lucky to have such a good friend. I remember the very first day when I moved to Wisconsin. My sister and I pulled into her driveway to get my keys to my house and I gave her a big stinky load of wash and asked her if she could wash them as I did not have a washer /dryer yet. Not only did she wash, she fluffed and folded!

  1. Kellie is a good friend! Not everyone would take such good care of thier friends stinky laundry :) I am glad you had a special day with special friends.
I have been reading Carina and have enjoyed it so much. There have been many laughs because I can see you so clearly in Patty's words. Always going back to a book, the perfect beinging for a librarian. And then when you and Alicia fell out of bed! Glad to here the "real" story about the stomach contents of the grouper.
    Blessings Krissy.

  3. Kellie is a very good friend. Friends that you can stick your finger in their ear AND will do laundry are hard to come by.
