When I first moved here, my sister Alicia was with me (She drove the AlCan with me) and we went to my friend Kellie's house and she gave us some farm fresh eggs from their chickens. I told Alicia that she was going to be surprised by how yellow the yolks where and how standy up they where and how the whites clung to the yolk, well the next morning my sister made fried eggs and toast for breakfast and was grossed out by the bright yellow/standy up yolks, so much that she had to chop chop chop the cooked eggs up to get rid of that look, and I laughed at her! Well. I now know where she was coming from, I have a small garden and I picked a red ripe cherry tomatoe and popped one still warm from the sun into my mouth and it made me gag! I grew up on never ripe and shipped from a long long away tomato and I was not ready for that burst of what a real tomato was like! Well, about 15 tomato's later I have decided that that's a good flavor! Its not a bad thing! So I am now re planing my garden for next year with more tomatoes.
One small downside, that's alot of fiber! I wouldn't recommend that you gorge of fresh tomatoes
unless you have a book in the "reading" room (sorry Mom!)
Congratulations on your blog. We will read it with interest and keep up with your experiences.
