Well, it was time to dig out my Christmas stuff. And this is it! I like my snow family. It holds a votive candle and looks very cheerful. That's about all I will do for Christmas, it seems to be a bother to do more. Or I should say. I'm lazy when it comes to the taking down all the stuff. I would rather not put up stuff so I don't have to mess with the take down! The two bells on the left? I got them from my Grandma on my Mom's side. They have a delicate chime. I keep my eyes out for more bells as I'm going to start to collect them. I ring them sometimes just to hear them. My dog gets up and leaves the room! The blue egg shape thing is a paper weight that I got from my Grandma on my Dad's side. I have great Grandmas! The white rock looking thing? It's a rock! But it has one of those shell fossils in it. I have a collection of rocks! One day I will take a picture of them and show you! I know I know! You can hardly wait to see my rocks huh? It will be special. I hope that you don't get jealous of them!
Weather update....... Today it got up to 38 at my house and it rained all day. Then a cold front came in. It's now 15 at my house, very windy and snowing. The sidewalk and back porch is slicker then snot!
They say ( those weather people) that it's going to get down to 5 and there's a warning for my area. You know, the wind chill factor. I feel sorry for the cows. I hope they all have a nice warm barn to go to.
I still don't have Christmas decorations up, just my ceramic Christmas tree. Kitty discovered today that she could chomp on the individual lights and take them off the ceramic tree....oh great!

That sounds like icky weather. We've been cold and there is low ice fog hanging around. The trees are very pretty with frosty branches.
ReplyDeleteThe snow family is cute. Sounds like you collect a few things. I have an old cow bell that was my grandfathers. It's one of my favorite things. You should come out to our place in the spring and look for rocks. We have found some cool fossils and alot of agates, a couple of really giganitc ones.
