Happy Tummy!

Today I had some errands to run over in Eau Claire. While I was in the big city, I saw this restaurant! So when done with my stuff, I went and had lunch here. I don't know how long this restaurant will last. WI is not noted for it's ethnic diversity and I was the only one there and it was lunch time.

I had Thai Chicken that was spicy! I went through one napkin in blowing my nose cause the spice was making it run, my eyes also watered a few times, but that is a good thing! If you like spicy! I asked what was a Hmong dish and he said that they didn't have any. So I still have not tried that style of food. There was some Chinese food, but it sounded like all the other type of Chinese food. You know, Sweet and Sour Chicken or Pork and Mongolian Beef. ( Which I love but I wanted spicy!) The did have Beef Pho and Chicken Pho but I wasn't in the mood for soup.

Now, I HATE cilantro. If cilantro was a person. I wouldn't spit on it if it was on fire, I hate it so much! I think that you might as well as suck on a bottle of Joy dish soap! I would spend time picking cilantro out of salsa, spring rolls and bowls of Pho soup (Vietnamese noodle soup) Well, this Thai Chicken dish had some in it. I didn't pick it out. In fact, I kind of liked it! (Gasp!)
Maybe I'm becoming a cilantro convert?

A little Haiku for you.

Chicken,lemon grass.
Garlic,Thai chile pepper.
Urp, I need a tum!

  1. Wow sounds a little too spicy for me. I really like cilantro on asian food. I get a pad thia dish at the Noodle and Company in EC that I really like and it has cilantro on it. Sounds like you were at a little more of an authentic place?

    like the haiku

  2. I've never been there, but it sounds delicious. The hotter the better. I've never tried a Thai pepper. I wonder what the heat level is rated at? Ok, my mouth is watering right now!!!!!

  3. Suck on a bottle of joy soap? That's a little drastic, don't you think. I'm glad you found some culinary extravaganza that you've been missing.
