I don't know your political leaning, I myself didn't vote for Obama but as I'm watching the Inauguration of President Obama, I can't help but be impressed. I have a respect for the the political office that he is now holding.
One part that I saw, that I thought was poignant, was when President Bush (And First Lady ) were leaving and President Obama (And first Lady) sent them off. I was struck by what a great county that we live in! Afterwards, watching the luncheon and seeing all the past Presidents and Vice Presidents and other people that hold office gathering together and getting along?! WOW! That's all I can say!
When you think about how power changes hands in a lot of other countries by military takeovers, uprisings where mass amount of people are killed, raped and burned out of their homes and you see this. It's very humbling and I hope that I never take the the United States of America for granted.

When you put it in that perspective, we really are a great country. No coups, not many assasination attempts, just graciously stepping down when your time is up and someone new steps in.
