Oh boy!

Well now I've done it! You remember a few months ago I was whining because I didn't have pilot bread? Well, thanks to my Mom and some friends I now have 3 boxes ( Well, 2 now as I have used a box up ) I got over my obsession and have not had pilot bread for awhile. Then a friend at work gave me a jar of homemade maple butter. WOW is that stuff great! It goes really good on pilot bread and goes good with peanut butter on pilot bread too. I knew that the jar of maple butter wouldn't last forever. I needed to find something.

I found it! Why have I never bought a jar of this creamy heaven? Was it too fancy for me? It's not that much more then peanut butter and really, it taste better then peanut butter. I have found my new treat and funny thing is, I didn't know I was looking for one. Another neat thing? It taste great just by the spoon full! Well, I hear a dry cracker and some nutella calling my name so I got to go.

Don't walk but run to the nearest store and go get yourself a jar of heaven!

  1. Wish I could get use to the Pilot bread, but it just doesn't do it for me...too hard and dry. I think I'll stick to regular crackers.

Bike man likes Pilot bread however.

  4. We always used to have it when we were young too....if I remember right, it could only be found in delicatessens when I was a kid???

Now I have to try to find Pilot Bread...I've never had it, or even heard of it.

We have rye crackers, they are large, I can't remember the Dutch name...

does Pilot Bread taste like rye bread?

  5. Ooops, I was referring to the pilot bread. I loved it as a kid, but not sure everyone would think it was good. As for the Nutella I've seen it before, but not sure if I have ever had it...

  6. Oh and Annie, if I remember right, Pilot bread tastes like bland crackers... but there was something else that made them good, but I don't remember what. I'm sure Krissy will clear it up for us...

  7. Hi Krissy! We are back! They have Nutella all over in Europe, I remember having it at just about every youth hostel we went to. Good stuff.

  8. Annie and Linda, Pilot Bread is a very thick and drrrrryyyy cracker and bland and no salt on it. It's also round. I think that you can only find it in AK and online. Maybe some parts of Canada? It's a must have for living in bush AK. I use them for tuna fish, cheese, PB and now nutella.
Really, anything works well on Pilot Bread.

  9. Yes, that is pretty much how I remember it. I liked them a LOT when I was a kid. I suppose that now that I am older and have not tasted them in years, I may find them not so tasty. But then again, they don't taste like no salt saltines either. I think I would probably still enjoy them.

  11. Someone recently told me that a new trend in Europe is to eat Nutella on pasta. I USED to LOVE Nutella, but that imagery has ruined it for me.
