A sure sign of spring.

Ahhh, they're baaaack! The stupid LRB's! (Gophers) I have yet to see one, all I ever see are the mounds that are left behind. Abby likes to dig up the holes. I'm pretty sure that she has not seen one but I think that the scent left behind is enough for her to spend an hour or so in digging. When I go to work, I will run my truck back and forth over the hill and flatten it.
P.S. LRB stands for Little Rat Bastard. It's one of my pet words for things that get on my nerves. At my old job? I worked with a lot of LRB's.

  3. Your parents won't like to see that word on your blog. shame on you. Kind of like ROUS's from The Princess Bride.

Patty, not sure what a ROUS's are. I have only seen PB 2 times, not 100 like you.

  6. We have a ton of those around our place. The boys lay out in the grass waiting for them to surface so they can peck them off with the 22.

  7. The ground squirrels and nutria have returned here too. The dogs are so busy hunting!

Stupid ground squirrel put a hole in my future lawn the day after I seeded. Arrgh! Maybe the dogs will rid our place of the RB's this year, and keep away the human ones too!
