I was in the goat pen this afternoon, getting the girls food bowl out to put on the stand, and low and behold, I spied two eggs in a "shallow" hole. I'm pretty sure that they weren't there yesterday as the two eggs "jumped" out at me. Very noticeable. They are about the size of a large egg you get at the store and they are a creamy light tan. I was surprised at how clean the were too. Oregon Sunshine gave a good idea. She said to put some golf balls or some plastic eggs ( Like the kind you get at Easter) and put them in the nesting boxes to give the hens an idea of where they are to lay the eggs at. I'm just glad that I have some!
