A little midweek confession.

I like the smell of skunk! Not a fresh killed one but one that is a day or two old. I know, that sounds bad, but I like that burnt rubber/musk scent. That past two days on my way to and from work I pass a skunk. I can't see the skunk but I can smell him. Now don't get me wrong, I do not want that smell in my house, but just catching a quick whiff while I drive by, it's not so bad. Rather nice.

Am I really weird or are there other skunk smell likers out there?

  1. What? Are you kidding???? I've never heard of anyone liking the smell of a skunk.

I think you're messing with us Aunt Krissy!

  2. I know what you mean - I don't like the smell of skunk, but just that quick whiff is not offensive, I think because it's a smell that signifies the outdoors, wild, freedom, etc.

  3. Me too! I enjoy a 'light' scent of skunk, but then I enjoy (really, I do) the light scent of goat buck as well. Either one 'strong' is gross though!

My husband likes the light scent of skunk also - I was surprised when he told me that. And here I thought I was unique! LOL

  5. I'm not fond of their smell but I think they are cute critters. My son wants a de-stunked skunk for a pet.

  8. That is funny. Our dog was sprayed by a skunk last year and I didn't realize it. I thought he smelled like burnt tires or something.
