Lost and found.

Well, I'm not sure how to start this post. So I will just jump in.

I have noticed for the past few days that my bathroom was getting stinky. But then it's a bathroom and there are times when it stinks! (I know, TMI) Some times it was more stinky then other times.

Today, or I should say, this morning when I got up and like most people I have to use the bathroom. It was very stinky! I know that I was not the cause of it! (Unless I sleep poop?) That did it. I gave the bathroom a good scrub. I took out the rugs, thinking that maybe with the humidity that they may be sour? They weren't, but I still washed them and hung them out to dry. I then scrubbed the toilet. Next I scrubbed the floor and tub. Still stinky! Maybe there is a dead mouse under the sink? I take everything out and no dead mouse. I must have some kind of sewer problem I think. I then noticed that I had some flies buzz buzzing around the bathroom window. Hummmm... I go to the window and take a whiff, gag, gag! There is a very foul (fowl) odor outside!

I take a flashlight as I have very large hedges in front of the house. I do a spider check and worm my way into the hedge. What do I see? My rooster that has been missing for two weeks! I get the pitch fork and work in under him (all the while gagging) and drag him out and put him into a garbage bag and tie it off.

Oh, he was stinky and the bugs on him! (Gag, gag) You need to realize that it has been hot and we have had lots of rain. I'm just glad that my dog nor cats rolled on it!

I will dump him in the dump on Wednesday. Right now he's off in the woods next to my driveway.

Oh the joy of living with animals.

  1. At least your bathroom is sparkling clean now Lol Good thing you found that stinky rooster. I pour draino which I mix in water down, helps cause one of my cats loves to piddle on the overflow drain on the floor. Hmmm bad habit I know! but she's very old.

  4. If something killed the rooster you would have thought they'd eat him too. So maybe your rooster got stuck there somehow? Poor little rooster. Aint animals just lovely?

  8. Oh yes, the joys of animals. Maybe a mink got him. They usually just kill for sport. Like mine did today! I lost 13 chickens! I'm not happy. But Dave got the mink.
