This and that

At the Farmers Market I was asked if I would be interested in having my soap in a gift store. A couple stopped by and they have a apple orchard with a gift store thing going on. I said yes so we exchanged cards. I called them up today and left a mesg. They have not called back yet.

On Sunday I made three batches of soap. My right shoulder is killing me now. I have a old snow machine (Snow Machine = Snow Mobile) injury and bringing three batches of soap to trace was a little too much. I had a very hard time shampooing my hair this morning. My right arm would not go up to my head!

Oh, I also had a guy (Older man, maybe 65+?) stop at my table at the Farmers Market. I did NOT ask him any questions but I now know that he has a Masters, a Bachelor and a Doctorate in drug and alcohol counseling. He had his own practice and with the down turn in the economy he has lost his practice, his family, his home and his car. He came over form Germany when he was nine years old. He says that he still speaks fluent German. He also has written over 300 songs. I might have heard of a friend of his that he writes too, Bob Dylan? ( Ya, right, stalker!) He then sang a few lines of his songs for me. They are very anti Bush/Republican. I almost got out my voters card that shows me as a Republican! He gave me a piece of paper with his name and number on it, just in case I hear about a job in drug and alcohol counseling. Oh, and call him up anytime to grab a cup of coffee.

He says that he will stop by next week. Oh, could I really be that lucky?!

  3. Hum - Maybe he could get on a processing boat in the Bering Sea - we know from experience what interesting people there are on them - he might just fit in really well!!

  6. Sounds like a wonderful day at the market - hope the connection with the gift store works out! You never know who might turn out to be your best buyer, but I'm going to guess that windbag didn't buy a thing. Your Sunday confession should be about your snow machine accident, it's a funny story. Not funny you got hurt, but funny how it happened. I think we have pics from when you rein-acted it for us.
