Makes you think.

I watched the movie Food Inc last night. Its been out for a year or so. I never watched it because I thought that it would be very slanted, you know, pro vegan, bunny hugging type, shame on you for eating meat and liking it. It was not that at all. It was very interesting.

What really made me think is was that after I was done watching the movie, I went to my home page and the top news story is the Egg recall and after I read that article I see another article about pre-package salad .

No, I'm not going to become vegan, and yes I'm sure that will eat a McD now and again. Just saying that the movie was thought provoking.

  1. It was a good program. Sure made me think/look at the food industry differently.

  2. Hey there AK - I haven't stopped in for a while, and I'm sorry to hear of the troubles you've been faced with. Hang in there, we're pulling for ya.

  3. Food, Inc was very eye-opening.

It's really bad when someone can't afford a head of cauiflower, but they can afford a chicken sandwich off the $1 menu at Micky D's!!!! And that chicken sandwich is made up of ground up and pressed chicken meat and other weird processed stuff!

  4. Sounds interesting, maybe I'll have to rent it. I already won't eat parts 'n pieces chicken nuggets. It grosses me out.

  5. We were already re-evaluating how we eat before watching the movie. It helped me convert Bad Pants over to a healthier lifestyle.

  6. I didn't get to watch that when i had it reserved. I read the book Fast Food Nation and that was an eye opener too.

  7. I haven't watched it yet, but I really don't feel the need to. I already believe most of what I have read about the movie. I lived in Arkansas for a bit and a friend worked for Tyson. After hearing all about that company, I won't buy Tyson chicken. I will go without first. Tyson is totally gross and I know that many others out there are just as bad. I am getting my own chickens next spring...
