Dreams

Feel free to pass on this post. It's about my dream I had the other night
I worked for the same airline for over 21 years. During all that time I never ever had a "work" dream. Sometimes people from work would appear in my dreams but the job never did. Last night I had a "work" dream. I was back in Alaska working for the airline and we were getting ready for the A season (A very very busy three week period with lots of stress) and the copy machine broke. The purchasing manager (C.M.) said that it would take six months to repair it. I suggested that maybe all it needed was more paper. C.M. then told me that I did not know what I was talking about, that this was all over my head, and then to prove the point, she pulled out the paper tray and guess what? It was out of paper!
We got the paper put back in, and the machine started spitting out the name list of passengers that needed to got from Dutch Harbor to Akutan. The company sending the employees kept sending list with 30 names on it and insisting that all 30 passengers must travel together. We kept trying to explain to them that the plane was a goose (Amphibious aircraft) and that it only held eight passengers at a time. Then the president of the airline (D.S.) came in and told us "Whatever C.B. wants C.B. gets"
Then I woke up. Glad that I was living here in WI and not getting geared up for the A season!
I wonder when or if I will ever dream about the library?

  2. That sounds like a nightmare. I remember having a dream about the fish processing plant, the fish kept coming and coming and I could never keep up. Then the boxes kept coming - row after row of boxes, all needing to be filled with fish.

  3. When you said "feel free to pass on this post" did you mean pass, as in, not read it because it's about a dream OR pass as in send it to all your friends because it's so insightful? I read it that way at first.

  4. Dreams are funny things. I dream about the library quite a bit...sometimes grumpy patrons are in them, sometimes I do something stupid or the scenes are just plain bizarre.

  5. Ok I know who D.S. is - who is C.B.?? I used to wake up in Dutch Harbor exhausted from "checking in passengers all night long"!!! That was the times when fishermen were heading home for Xmas and he wx turned t.u. And now I dream about staking powerline while jumping over rattlesnakes and running into bears & mountain lions!!

  6. Years after I quit smoking, I dreamed I was 'recreational' smoking and basically I could stop any time I wanted. I would smoke for a while and then remember I wasn't suppose to be smoking, so I would quit, but I kept doing it over and over. The dream was very real and I often wondered if it was. It wasn't of course, because my house had no sign of cigarettes anywhere... sometime it is so strange what we dream.

  7. My work dreams usually had me trying to answer the alarm clock (thought it was the aircraft radio).. then I would realize it was dark and I must be dreaming! sorry about your nightmare. You remember it very vividly!! Chuck B? Is that who C.B. is ?? wow.. if it is, I have a good memory!!
