It's the little things

The other day in my Oral Communications class I had to take a quiz. It was worth 20 points, and I missed three questions so I only got 17 points. One question I got wrong, I e-mailed the teacher and argued my point citing page reference in the text book on why I chose the answer that I gave. She said that I was too narrow in my thinking but that I did argue persuasively, and that she could see why I answered the way I did. She gave me that point back. I know, it's only one point, but still!

Next week my teacher for marketing Principles is calling it "Catch up week" so there is no schedule work. No reading, no lecture, no power point, no papers to write, no quiz and no exams!

Small things, but it gets me giddy like a school girl, oh wait, I am a school girl!

  1. So your teacher didn't get their lessons planned out and they are calling it "catch-up week". Sounds like an excuse to me, but hey, it's all good if it works out for you. Good job arguing with authority, as we know from experience it doesn't always work, (parking in the handicap spot outside the closed Post Office) but you've always got to try!

  2. Sometimes every single point does matter! And I'm glad you get an easy week for that one class.

  4. I know how that feels. On my last exam of grade 12 english, the last question was "In your opinion, who do think is a better writer: George Bernard Shaw or William Shakespeare?"

I never liked Shaw, so I gave my opinion. Unfortunately the prof was a Shaw fan.
