I'm not a good speller, so I'm not sure how to spell EEEEE! If you ever watch " King of the hill" and little Bobby is so so excited, that's how I feel about tomorrow! I have a job and I start tomorrow at 9.30am, Its my dream job! I cant believe that I will get paid to do this! I hang out for hours for free. In fact I think that I would do it for free but I'm glad that I am getting paid for it. Oh, I didn't say yet what the job was did I? Well, its my dream job! No, its not working at Wal Mart as a door greeter, but at one time that was my ideal of a dream job. That was when I was getting stressed out at my old job in Alaska. I figured that most people didn't get mad at the door greeter and I was getting tired of people being mad at me, even to the point of telling me that I was the reason that their spouse was going to divorce them or I was the reason why they missed their kids birthday/soccer game/peewee hockey game/what have you. I didn't know I had so much power! But there is even a better job then the Wal Mart door greeting job, its, are you ready for it? ITS WORKING AT THE LIBRARY! Yep! I have a part time job at the library! Can you believe that? I will get paid to touch books, smell books and I will get to talk about books! and I get paid! how cool is that? My new boss told me that she has ordered my name tag. It will have my name on it and also Library Clerk on it! And it just gets better! I get to work with one of my closest friends! Kellie! ( Rose, you need to move here and get a job at the library then it would be like old home week ) The only was this could get any better is if it was full time.
I love that old brick building. They don't make them like that in Alaska. At the very top, is that where the bats are? oooooh creepy.

ReplyDeleteWow, I've never had a staff member sooooo excited about her job...NOW I'M REALLY EXCITED TOO. I sure hope we can concentrate tomorrow and get our training in. I can see it now, you and Kellie will have me in stitches laughing so hard. You two just crack me up sometimes. Oh yeah, make sure you bring a lunch tomorrow, or you and Kellie can head down to "the country shoppe" for soup & sandwich.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing. Our municipal building was built in 1915. The library has been in the same room in the muni building for 93 years!!!!! I have a love/hate relationship with that building. I just want new plumbing, that's all. The bats are on all levels sorry to say. This morning I caught a mouse...I put the sticky trap on my desk over the weekend and he stepped right in it. Yup, he was dead but at least my little stash of snacks was untouched.
