Missing

It was a lazy day today, I did mop the floor and take out the rugs and beat them to knock out the sand ( I have real sandy land )and also made a 1/2 pint of dilled carrots with the carrots I got from the garden, that's how bad the carrot harvest was! I never did get out of my sweats and t-shirt. But the title of this post is missing and what I am missing is the following.

1. I crave fresh salmon! I think about it, with rice! Oh my mouth is watering! Salmon on the grill? pan fried? baked in the over with lemon and butter? and Halibut, beer batter? baked? at PenAir we would have company BBQ and somebody made a pecan crusted halibut to die for! and now I'm thinking about smoked fish! and fish strips! and fish pie, Oh goodness, I'm hurting here!

2. Movies, oh there are movie theaters out there, but I was looking at the web page for the one that's in Menominee as that's the closest one to me, they don't have midday showings! and I miss being able to go to the movies during the day when they are cheaper and also I don't like going out at night, I know, I'm getting to be a real fuddy duddy!

3. I miss the the Bear Tooth! what I wouldn't give for a cesar salad with blacken chicken and sun dried tomatoes with a lime wedge. Yum!

4. I miss the V.I.P. restaurant, It's a Koren place, I could go for some spicy pork!and the 20 side dishes that come with it, other then that nasty fish cake! ( Ruth knows all about that!)

5. Any sushi place! I hear that there is 1 sushi place over in Eau Claire but I cant find it, I will have to look harder! but its hard to believe that it would be good! I mean it is Wisconsin, this is the place of cheese and brats! Not sushi! and I don't think that I know anybody here in Wisconsin that would go there with me. Its bait here !

6. The Lucky Wishbone. I just assume that all hamburgers come with lettuce,tomatoes and pickle, but they don't, you have to order a " California Burger" Whats up with that? I go to a place in Colfax called "Dano's" Dan used to work at PenAir as a F/A and he now owns this place, he has a good burger, fresh made, but its not a Lucky Wishbone one!

Oh and yes I miss my Family and friends and even my old place of work and blah blah blah.

Now that I look at my list, it makes my go " Huh" as maybe that's why I have to lie about my weight on my new drivers license? Ya think?
