Freaky Deeky

This is a picture of the side of my friend Kellie's house. This could almost be what the inside of my house would look like if I didn't vacuum 3 times a day! Yep, the Asian beetle has struck! All that I have been told about them is true. They smell! Like a funky dirt smell. The 1st time I smelled it, was cause I was telling my boss that I didn't know what they smelled like, she pick one up and "fondled" it and let me smell her fingers ( That, could be the start of a sick joke!) And now, at the house, my vacuum smells like that cause I have a bag full of dead Asian bugs. I stepped on one in the house, they have a very hard shell and pop and crunch when you step on them, very yucky! ( luckily I had on my sandals! ) They pinch! I know this cause, today I was mowing the yard ( Oct 12 and I mowed! ) and one got stuck in the cuffs on my shorts and it "pinched" me. I smacked him hard! That will learn him! They sneak in under the doors and under the window screens. I'm told that this will only last for about 2 weeks. I think that I can make it. I do know that my sister Alicia would be really really grossed out by the bugs in the house. I know I'm kind of.

  1. Apparently I am missing some curtain hooks. I heard a story, told by a few children of mine, about the curtain falling down one day because they were playing hide & seek, with a football or some such, but was assured that all was well and they put it back up. I guess they failed to mention the missing hooks and other important elements of the story. Oh well..

    freaky, stinking bugs for sure!!

  2. Hummm, sweetie, brace yourself. I have bad news for you. Those little buggers hang around for months!!!! I knew someone that had beetles crawling all over the house throughout the winter months. I saw it myself and it was yucky. Let's just hope the little guys don't like your dwelling.

  3. I'm curious why Kellie has a shower curtain hanging on the outside of her house. Seems like an odd location.

Can you spray bug killer around the door and window frames to curtail the activity?
