On the way home from work I past a field that they have cut down a lot of trees and were burning them. Hugh bonfires, lots of wood smoke. Smelled nice. Love the smell of wood burning.
Then I was past it and could no longer smell it. Till I got home. I think to myself that that's odd. I didn't see any fires by my house. Oh well, maybe the smoke is drifting with the wind. I get out of the truck and I smell a real strong odor of wood smoke near the hood of my truck. Huh, that's odd. I drive a metal truck, there's no wood under the hood. ( Hey, that rhymes ) I went and got a flashlight as it was starting to get dark and I wanted to see real good under the hood. ( Rhymed again! ) I popped the hood open and this is what I saw.
I put on my work gloves and pulled it all out. Well, all that I could in the dark. Tomorrow I will get a little foot stool so I can get a better reach and remove more stuff. I will probably pop the air filter doo-hicky thing and make sure that I don't have stuff in there. In my old truck, a few years ago, I found in the air filter thing some dried out chicken bones and a chewed on biscuit. I was parking next to a dumpster at my old job. There were a few of us that had a little "gift" in our air filter thing.
It kind of looks like a big mouse nest. What exactly is that stuff?
ReplyDeleteI was just going to say that....it looks like a mouse nest. There's something you should know. When you live out in the country like we do, it's common for little critters like mice to make a cozy nest inside your car. Every year either my husband or I find a mouse in our vehicles. That's when we bring out the mouse trap!
ReplyDeleteThat wasn't built in a day. That looks like a mouse condo. I'd be a little careful about pulling all that out, you might have a mouse run up your arm.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree. It looks like rats or mice. Fun!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you need to get yourself a cat to hunt.
I think the mouse is cooked.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a nest. I haven't had that experience....yet!
ReplyDeletealtho my parents did when they brought up their motorhome, you could hear Mom screaming, hahaha, she can't stand mice....
