What I learned today.

Did you know that you can buy diced rutabagas in a can? I didn't know that. Now I like rutabagas. You treat them like a potato but just like I have never bought canned potatoes I don't think that I would buy canned rutabagas. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

On a humid day like today it doesn't matter how much hair spray I put in my hair it, will go flat due to my sweaty scalp. (I mean my glowing scalp) I wonder if your hair can get moldy if it doesn't dry out at some point? Also on hot and humid days your under garments are hard to get off as they tend to stick to you. Kind of yucky.

I wore my new clothes to work today. I bought a denim skort? It's the shorts/skirt thing. I like it, but I did have one itty bitty problem with it. I have worn pants that have an elastic waist for a few years. I am not used to buttons and zippers. I have found out that you should NOT wait till the last minute to heed mother natures call. I think I did some disco steps while I un-buttoned not one but 2 buttons and pulled the zipper down. I was almost traumatized.

  1. Well, I can sort of see why people would buy rutabegas in a can, since they're pretty hard to peel and cut.

Things that do not belong in a can? Chickens.

  2. LOL! I agree with the sweaty under garments! Yuck! I've been packing up a storm and it's been humid here. I hate feeling sticky and stinky!

  3. I like rutabegas in soup in the fall and winter and in pasties. I have never had them canned. I have fond memories of my grandmother's canned potatoes and I do buy them in the store sometimes, they are great warmed in a skillet in butter and garlic.

  4. I have bought chickens in cans because they are so easy to debone for chicken n noodles. But you can also do that with the deli chickens.
