After school today and after I fiddle farted around I took a two hour nap! I sure needed it. Just so you know, I only sleep between five and six hours a night, that's normal for me. Last night Abby fell out of bed not once but twice. Nothing like waking up to a very large THUMP and then I could hear her struggle to get up, then she would come to my side of the bed to get me out so I could help her back into bed.
On the second time that I tried to get her back into bed, she gave the bed the ol' stink eye and went and got on the couch. I think that she thinks that the bed did something to her. But then in about an hour she came to my side and got me up so I could get her into bed and tuck her in.
Dogs! How do they manage to manipulate us into doing what they want?

Some of us would relegate them to a pen/kennel with lots of soft padding and a nice blankie. And maybe even a little snack to soften the change. Some of us would not put up with dog waking us up 3x per night nor peeing in the bed. Just saying.
ReplyDeletePoor Abby falling out of bed it rough. You'll have to pen her in with some padding.
ReplyDeleteNow I understand why you don't get 8 hours of sleep! Poor Abby.
ReplyDeleteI finally put a two-step stool by the bed so Spookers can get up/down. Happy is so stove up I have to lift her up/down. And Rowdy.. well the pup lives up to his name and he thinks my bed is a race course!! I think you need a bird or two and know just where you can get them!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes they do! Roxanne crawled up into BP's lap last night, all 130 lbs of her. She wanted cuddles. Then, she wedged herself between us on the couch! And I wake up at least once at night to tuck her back in, because she wants that too. And if I get up first before BP? She pouts all day because she didn't get to cuddle with me on the bed that morning!
ReplyDeletePS I need you to come over to my blog and make book suggestions, please.
