My friend and I did take a break from packing up stuff, we took a little road trip up into the mountains. We saw some Dall Sheep? Mountain Goats? I'm embarrassed as I can't remember what they were or even looking at the pictures I still don't know. This little guy had horns attatched to his head because?
This happened to him.
What happened to the poor thing Krissy? I couldn't tell from the video
ReplyDeleteI think you saw Bighorn Sheep. Is that all the pics you took? I don't think you told me you went to a rodeo. I haven't been to one in so long.
ReplyDeleteI didn't go to a rodeo. These were friends of my friend that I was visiting. They were practicing their ropeing skills. Nothing bad happens to the cows, they get roped, released and they do it all over again.
ReplyDeleteYes, that was a short uninformitave video of what was going to happen to the bull.
ReplyDeleteDall Sheep... The steers Ike uses to rope have a good life. Maybe two nights a week they are used for roping. Rest of the week it's eat, poop and hang out. The wraps around their horns are put on when they rope so they don't get rope burns. The heeler very rarely "dally's" so they don't get rope burns on their legs.
ReplyDeleteThe horns aren't attached to him by the harness. The harness is there to protect his head from abrasions from the rope around the horn area. His horns are attached to his head normal.
ReplyDeleteThey do look like bighorn sheep. Saw some of them when we were CO vising family last year.
ReplyDeleteNext time take more pictures Krissy :)
