Cluck Cluck

I learned something today, chickens don't fight the chopping block! I thought that they would flop, peck, beat their wings and not put their necks out so nice to be chopped off! but noop, they lay them out rather nicely! My friends have 21 chickens that need to be "taken" care of, We only did 10 today, My friend's Husband wants them to get a little bit bigger, as the 10 that we did today where on the small side, only took the leg/thighs and breast and we ( husband) skinned then out.

I helped to pluck them so that he would have a better view of what he was doing, so it was a rough pluck. There might be some kid nightmares tonight! The Dad put a chicken head down the pants on the youngest to see what would run faster, a chicken or a kid! Talk about some adult fun! ( a kid will shriek louder but maybe not run!) and one of the chickens got a pardon so that chicken gets to live out his or her chicken life on the farm. And I got the gizzards and the hearts as they didn't want them ( Yum!) I will have them for Sunday dinner, I know most people would think that Sunday dinner should be a roasted or a fried chicken, but I'm rather happy with what I got, they offered me a chicken or two, but I would rather go to their house for dinner that Kellie cooks, as I haven't had a bad meal there yet!
