A while back (in the year of 2000) I lived in Dillingham Alaska. And I got used to seeing snow machines in the winter (snowmobiles for them that call it that!) and 4 wheelers in the summer at the gas stations as that's what some people used to get around, and that was a good thing, as that winter, we had a lot of snow and roads where closed one morning and a ramper swung by my place on his snow-go (that's what they call them in Dillingham!) and took me to the airport so we could open up for the day. But I digress. So on Saturday, the town about 15 miles north of me was having its town fair and was having a TRACTOR PULL! ( that's a big thing here in Wisconsin ) so I thought that I would go check it out, it cost money and I didn't have any on me so I didn't go to the fields where it was all happening but I did see this at the gas station! and in brought back the memories of when I lived in Dillingham.
On a side note, I have now seen riding lawn mowers at the local gas station, but not getting gas, it was parked where the cars park
I like green and yellow tractors. You know that's not a sight you see in Alaska very often. Snowmachines and 4-wheelers, yes.
