icky ticky

So, here I was last night sitting on the couch with my precious Abigail Rose by my side, with her head in my lap as I was watching the Presidential debate. I am doing a good scratch job on her ears and on her head, and yes, I have said it before, I had a finger going into her ears also! She likes it. But back to the scratching, I felt a lump by her ear! Yep, it was a TICK! I have not seen a tick on her in over 2 months! So I was rather surprised. I got the tissue out and pulled out the tick, but when I opened the tissue to see the tick, there was no tick, it had dropped off somewhere on the couch, so I had to do a quick vacuum of the couch and shake the dog throw to toss of any ticks on that. Oh, and by the way, the tick was dead. It was still hanging on but he had ( or she? ) turned gray and icky looking. I had a flashlight on it before I pulled the tick off. I needed to make sure that it wasn't a mole! We settled back down and finished watching the debate.


On a side note, I thought that Obama came across rather well, but I that's not who I will be voting for. After the debate, I watched the commentaries but I cant stand Katie Curic so I watched the PBS and ABC commentaries. It will be interesting to see more of the debates. After watching all that, I then was online reading about the debate and I didn't get to bed till Midnight! I did a good search of the bed to make sure it was tick free, climbed into bed...arugh! The sheets were so gritty from all the sand that my precious Abby brought into the bed! Bad Dog! but you know what? I was too tired to do a thing about it, I rolled over and went to sleep in gritty sheets. Hey, I was sleeping, it didn't bug me! And besides, who can be mad at the sweet puppy? Not me!
