Is this an odd topic to blog about? I have no problems walking around cemeteries. Back when I lived in Alaska, there wasn't a lot of them around. Alaska is a young state and there is not a lot of cemetery history. Unlike here in Wisconsin, it seems like almost every Church has a cemetery attached to it. Here are just a few of the pictures that I took a while I was out and about. I know I stated it in another post, but to me, t
here is just something I find very peaceful abo
ut them.

That is something different than up here. We have two cemetaries in Anchorage, plus the military one. But down in the states there are little cemetaries all over in the backs of churches and even in the middle of my inlaws farm. I always walk down and around that one when we visit. But I'm careful not to step on the graves, that seems disrespectful.
ReplyDeleteI love old cemetaries too. When we took a trip out west to Colorado, one of the things I remember most were the awesome cemetaries. There were really cool gravestones that were tall and they resembled a tree. In some old cemetaries you can also see when the deadly flu went through and killed many adults and children. Yup, old cemetaries are really cool.
